Michael Kemmis Adcox died Friday, September 24 at Merit Health-River Region Medical Center.  He was 58.  Born in Morton, MS, he had been a resident of Vicksburg since 2003.  He also lived in Vicksburg from 1981 to 1982.  He was a welder, working offshore for Diamond offshore for 13 years.  He later owned and operated Mike's Handy Services, which was his passion.  He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved God and loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kemmis James Adcox and Eddie Quay Heeter and a brother, David Martin.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rhonda White Adcox; his children:  Eric Adcox (Tiah) of Clearwater, FL; Alecia Harrison (Matt) of Vicksburg; Kyle Adcox (Kristen) of Vicksburg; Kaitlyn Dasher (Christian) of Palm Harbor, FL; ten grandchildren: Ethan, Noah, Haley, Alannah, Callie, Stella, Kora, Carson, Logan, and one on the way; one great granddaughter, Everleigh; seven sisters:  Betty, Judy, Debra, Penny, Denise, Kathy, and Melissa; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Southside Baptist Church, 95 Baptist Drive in Vicksburg.  Visitation will be from 10 AM until the hour of service.  Interment will follow at 1 PM in Hermanville Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Ethan Guevara, Noah Jackson, Ken Bufkin, Andrew Clemts, Terry Lee, and Greg Clemts.  Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Adcox, Kyle Adcox, Matt Harrison, and Christian Dasher.
