Mildred Smith Pepper passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at her home. She was 96. Mildred was the daughter of the late A.O. Smith and Minveria Smith. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, B. F. Pepper; two grandchildren, Derek Williams and Debra Whatley. She is survived by her children, Gail Watkins, Lyndale Williams, Robert Pepper, Hoprey Sibley, Edgar Pepper, Margie Barrett and Farrien Youngblood; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren. Mildred was the last survivor of seven siblings, Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Sibley officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the hour of service. Pallbearers will be Travis Sibley, Bob Hardy, Brandon Smith, Trent Smith, Zack Branan and Randy Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Melin, Ricky Watkins, David B. Williams, Pete Hardy and Dr. Calvin Masterson. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-9959.
