Mildred Ann Kurz "Millie" Thompson died on August 17, 2023, at theVicksburg Convalescent Home in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

She was born August 3, 1932, to the late Paul Nicholas Kurz and Mary Elizabeth Kurz in Owensboro, Kentucky and graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School. Millie was active, especially in the 1960's, in the Miss Mississippi Pageant, the Little Theatre Guild and the Vicksburg Country Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Nelson "Jimmy" Thompson, her parents Paul Nicholas Kurz and Mary Elizabeth Baur Kurz; her sisters Maebeth Louise Kurz, Martha Rose Kurz, Ruth Kurz Duncanson, and Margery Kurz Lind; her brothers John Herbert "Jack" Kurz, Paul Nicholas Kurz, Jr., and Charles Edward Kurz; and her grandson, Jeremy Greene. Survivors include her daughter, Debi Thompson Rochford (Mark) of Bryceville, Florida, and her son James N. "Jim" Thompson, Jr. (Ellen) of Daphne, Alabama, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. Interment will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery in Vicksburg.
