Nettie Porterpan Dennis of Vicksburg, MS passed away on June 19, 2023 at Merit Health Hospital in Vicksburg, MS.  She was 75.

Born on October 11, 1947 in Port Gibson, MS, she was in the health care profession and jewelry retail industry.  Nettie was a member of Grace Baptist Church.  Survivors include her husband, Thomas F. Dennis, Jr. of Vicksburg;  daughters, Christy McCraine (Terry), Rita Reed, both of Vicksburg; son, Ted Dennis (Melinda) of Brandon, MS.; sisters, Louise Parsons (Albert), Shirley Bufkin; sister-in-law, Etta Porterpan Piazza; grandchildren, TJ Smith (Courtney), Timothy Hicks, Jennifer Wilson (Shane); great-grandchildren, Conley Johnson, Jayden Chapin, Braylon Wilson, Luke Wilson.


In addition to her parents, John W. and Sally Trim Porterpan both of Port Gibson, MS and her In-Laws:Thomas F., Sr. and Mattie H. Dennis, of Union Church, MS,  she is also preceded in death by her Brother:  John A. Porterpan,  of Port Gibson, MS, Grandchild:  David A. Smith, of Vicksburg, MS,
Great Grandchild:  Hunter S. Wilson, of Ocean Springs,  MS, and Brother-in-Law:  Charles L. Bufkin, of Vicksburg, MS

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 23, 2023, at Grace Baptist Church in Yokena, MS at 3 pm.
