Nolan Eugene Taylor was born on August 25, 1952 in Mound, Louisiana and passed on from this Earth on April 22, 2021, after a prolonged illness.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Maggie Taylor and his two sisters, Mary Louise Taylor and Estelle Wamble.  He is survived by his wife, Patricia Diane Taylor of Delta, Louisiana; his sons, Gene Edward Taylor and Nolan Mackie Taylor (Barbara), both of Vicksburg, Mississippi; his brothers, Leroy Taylor (Ethel)(Tallulah, LA) and Frank Taylor (Delta, LA); his sisters, Barbara Reese (Eagle Lake, MS) and Dora Burris (Delta, LA); his step-children, Denise Cessna, Mary Walker (Delta, LA) and David Walker (Wesson, MS).   He also leaves behind ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Nolan spent more than 30 years working for the Kansas City Southern Railway and was a lifelong resident of Madison Parish.  In later years, he rejoiced with his church family at Mound Baptist Church where he met the Lord and was baptized.  Services were held on Sunday, April 25 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home.
