Obituary

Patricia Lorene McMahon, 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Vicksburg, MS on March
31, 2025. She was born in Luton, England on September 2, 1937, the daughter of Lawrence and Edith Walshaw. She married her children's father, a U.S. Air Force Serviceman in 1956 and became a U.S citizen in 1962. She made many moves as a military spouse until settling on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 1976, where she lived until 2022. She enjoyed her time with her special group of English friends, a cup of hot tea and traveling to England to visit family.

She is survived by her children: Lawrence McMahon of Plano, TX, Karen McMahon of Yucca, AZ and Will McMahon (Michele) of Vicksburg, MS. Her grandchildren include Lindsey Klaus (Kyle) of Vicksburg, MS; Leah Sanders (Keaton) of Vicksburg, MS; Katrina Filibeck of Long Beach, MS; Nicole Valdez of Sherman, TX; and Brian Allison (Dani) of Lumberton, TX. Her great- grandchildren are Derek Valdez (Caitlin), Micheal Filibeck (Melissa), Taylor Valdez (Joshua), Rylie Hipple, Raeanna Whigham (Dyllan), Russell  and Rollins Sanders, Maren and Lewis Klaus, Jaxyn and Kamryn Allison. Her great-great-grandchildren are Bentley, Kennedy, and Waylon Whigham. She also leaves behind her cherished sister Anne Wright (Alan) of Hiesse, France and her brother Rodney Walshaw of London, England along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McMahon was preceded in death by her parents, a brother John Gregory of Luton, England and a sister Joyce Taylor of Shefford, England.
