With deep sorrow and enduring love, we announce the passing of Patricia Newman Rohrke, who entered the gates of Heaven on February 12, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Mary Katherine Newman Platte; father, Lindsey McGee Platte; and brother, Walter Lindsey Platte.

Pat leaves behind a loving family who cherished her deeply: her devoted husband, Jon Rohrke; daughter, Jacqueline Newman Landes Purnell (Paul) of Madison;  son, William M. Landes, Jr. (Scott) of Oxford; and her treasured grandchildren, Avery and Landes Purnell and William M. Landes III.

Pat dedicated her life to raising her children, a role she embraced with unwavering commitment and joy. Whether it was sports, dance, cheerleading, or simply being the chauffeur to countless events, she never missed a moment. Her home in Newman, Mississippi, was a gathering place, filled with laughter and warmth as she hosted many high school and college get-togethers.

Later in life, Pat and Jon found joy in traveling, reconnecting with old friends, and making new memories across the country. Spring was her
favorite time of year, and watching flowers bloom and preparing her garden brought her much peace and happiness.

Patricia Rohrke touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home 5000 Indiana Avenue in Vicksburg, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Richey Woods, Hubbard Partridge, Billy Price, Joey Fischel, C.J. Zadrozny, and Landes Purnell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
