Paul Henry Moon, age 92, went to his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.  Born on March 31, 1933 in Medford, Okla to parents, Sylvia Mott Moon and Lyman Moon.  His last home address was Edwards, MS.  Paul was a resident of the Veterans Home in Jackson, MS due to a long illness resulting from his service in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Earl Dean Moon; one daughter, Donna Moon Clark.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Arneta "Nita" Stokes Brown Moon of Edwards, MS; two daughters, Lisa Mathis of Nashville, TN, Sheryl Kinard (Damien) of Starkville, MS; one sister, Joy Ann Heard of Vadalia, LA; one brother, Jerry  Joe Moon of Roxie, MS; grandchildren, Charles (Skeeter) Mathis of Nashville, TN, Christie Strong (Tristan) of Nashville, TN, Jodi Stubblefield (Erie) of Nashville, TN, Alisa McCormick of Nashville, TN; numerous other grandchildren, friends and cousins.

Paul was a faithful member and deacon of Edwards Baptist Church.  He earned his Theology Bachelor Degree  from Mississippi College in Clinton, MS and his Master's Degree in New Orleans Seminary.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30 from 10 AM to Noon at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue.  Funeral services will be at Noon.  Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery with military honors.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Brooks, Charles Mathis and Tommy Densen.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Edwards Baptist Church in Edwards, MS.
