Paul Rusche died Friday, November 4, 2022 at Merit Health-River Region Medical Center.  He was 69.  A native and lifelong resident of Vicksburg, he was the son of the late Joseph Clifton Rusche and Edgar L. and Fay Hazzlerigg.  He served as a deputy with the Warren County Sheriff Department and retired from the Vicksburg Fire Department at the rank of Captain in 2003 after 25 years of Service.  He was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  Paul traveled all throughout the country enjoying his favorite hobby, drag racing.

Paul is survived by his wife, Gail Caruthers Rusche; his daughter, April Rusche (Rob); his son, Joseph Rusche (Connie); his step-son, Bear Meacham (Brittany); five grandchildren:  Dawson Page, Madison Hedrick, McKenzie Hedrick, Zoey Meacham, and Ashley Bowser; and a step-brother, Ed Hazzlerigg, III (Cathy).

Visitation will held at 10 AM on Friday, November 11 at First Christian Church, 3005 Porters Chapel Road with a memorial service following at 11.
