Obituary

Paul Victor Waddell of Vicksburg, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.  He was 63.  Paul was the son of David and Hilda Waddell.  Paul's passion in life was restoring muscle cars and taking care of stray animals.  He was a resident of the Lofts Apartments for the past five years.  He was a graduate of Warren Central High School.  Paul was a Millwright and  member of the  Carpenter's Union and a  member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  Paul served in the United States Air Force.   He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lisa Oakes of Greenville; and  brother-in-law, Leo Mayerhoff, Jr.  Survivors include his two sisters, Sylvia Mayerhoff and Patricia Koestler (Carl); one brother, Dave Waddell (Tracey); three aunts, Thelma Wilson, Susey Toombs and Evelene Albert; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews  and his beloved dog, Sandy.  Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 9 at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday at 9 a.m. until the hour of service.  Pallbearers will be Butch Spivey, Clay Currie, Kelly Landers, Greg Landers, Sammy Landers and Dave Waddell. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to City of Vicksburg Animal Shelter, 100 Old Mill Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.  The family would like to thank his  caregivers and special friends for their loving care and friendship to  Paul.
