August 20, 1944 – December 26, 2020
Peggie Orman passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. She was 76. Born in Sunflower County, she had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1961. She was employed by the Vicksburg Warren School district and later by Walmart.
Mrs. Orman was preceded in death by her parents, J. C. and Lois Brister; a son, Aaron Orman; two sisters, Jean Duplechin and Linda Daigle; and a great-grandson, Ezra Noblitt.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles Orman, Sr.; a daughter, Karen Noblitt (James) of Vilonia, AR; a son, Charles Orman, Jr. (Susan) of Vicksburg, MS; two brothers, Allen Brister (Connie) of Big Lake, LA and Terry Brister (Melissa) of Moss Bluff, LA; a sister, Kathy McCollum (Mike) of Ridgeland, MS; six grandchildren: Katrina Norwood, Wendi Noblitt, William Norwood, Jr., Cooper Orman, Macey Orman, and Caden Orman; a step-grandson, Jamie Noblitt; five great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 AM Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue in Vicksburg, MS with Rev. Ricky Dorrell officiating. Visitation will be 5 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday at the funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andrew Grantham, Michael Orman, Joe Holloway, Michael Cantin, Joseph Cantin, and Ed Lumbly.
