Peggy Ward Daniels died Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN.  She was 79.  Peggy was born in Vicksburg to the late George and Martha Sheller Ward.  She was a graduate of J.H. Culkin Academy and Baptist Medical Center School of Nursing.  She later earned a Bachelor's degree from Mississippi College her Master's from The University of Southern Mississippi.  She worked as a Registered Nurse a Vicksburg Medical Center and later at Central Mississippi Medical Center.  She had been a resident of Cookeville, TN for the past six years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Ward, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donnie S. Daniels; her son, Ward Daniels (Kathryn) of Vicksburg; her daughter, Louanne Myers (Troy) of Cookeville, TN. Three grandchildren:  Nathan Weathersby, Joshua Myers, and Caleb Myers; and  SEVEN great-grnadchildren.

Services will be at 1 PM, Tuesday, December 7 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue in Vicksburg, MS.  Visitation will be from 11 AM until the hour of service.  Interment will follow in Greenlawn Gardens. Pallbearers will be Joshua Myers, Caleb Myers, Troy Myers, Ward Daniels, Nathan Weathersby, Mike Jones, Stacey McMullin, and Ricky Hill.
