Obituary

Peggy Thach Harwood, 92, was a resident of Vicksburg, Ms for her adult life. She passed away
Wednesday November 8, 2023 at her home.

Peggy was the youngest of 10 children, born to Susie Glenn Coleman and Samual McBride Thach. A large
family which flourished creating many nieces and nephews. What a reunion it will be!
Peggy grew up in Ruleville, MS graduating from Ruleville High School before attending Holmes
Community College.

She married Robert Francis "Bob" Ehrhardt and they had 3 sons, Karl, Kurt and Keith. Bob and Peggy
operated Ehrhardt Farms in the Yokena community, primarily producing eggs which were sold
regionally. She loved her family and community, there were many other children who were raised along
with her boys, who understood what it was like to be in Ms Peggy's house. Peggy worked at Marie's
Dress Shop following the closure of Ehrhardt Eggs. It was the kind of place she didn't call work, because
she loved being there helping the community members get "dressed up". Bob passed away in July of
1989.

Peggy married Harold Harwood in 1991, and they had many friends who enjoyed RV'ing and traveling
with those friends around North America. Following Harold's passing, Peggy continued RV'ing with the
help of friends, driving the "big old bus" around the South.
Peggy was a member of First Baptist Church. In addition to traveling, she enjoyed playing card games,
especially dominoes and bingo, meeting regularly with friends, to enjoy each other's company.
Peggy moved to Heritage House in 2019. It was home for her, she had the care she needed, and it gave
her the opportunity to socialize, play bingo, and dominoes and to stay active. Peggy was surrounded by
family, friends, and mothering staff there until her passing.

Peggy was preceded in death by her father Samual, mother Susie, brothers, Carl, Frank, Eugene, sisters:
Jo Harris, Dell Carsley, Baby Lee Mister, Mary Francis Tippit, Pearl Flanagan, her son, Kurt Ehrhardt and
grandson, Walker Ehrhardt.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kyle Ehrhardt, Kurt Ehrhardt Jr., Coby Kaufman, Allen Dale Kaufman, Alex
Maynord, and nephews Coy D. Flanagan, Todd Flanagan, Mack Flanagan.

She is survived by sons, Karl Ehrhardt (Ginger), Keith Ehrhardt (Jean), and Bert Ehrhardt; grandchildren,
Mandy Poirier (Mike), Kyle Ehrhardt (Kim), Wesley Ehrhardt (Natalie), Mary Katherine Maynord (Alex),
Bevan Smith, Coby Kaufman, Allen Dale Kaufman, Kurt Ehrhardt, Jr., and Justin St. Romain; and great
grandchildren, Ryleigh Ehrhardt, Emmie Poirier, Kailyn Ehrhardt, Elle Poirier, Marilyn Maynard, Michael
Maynard, Kasen Ehrhardt, Karter Ehrhardt, Maley, Elliot Ehrhardt, and many nieces and nephews.

While we will miss Peggy here on earth, there are great memories to help us push on. It was such a
pleasure to have shared time with Peggy, and we can only imagine the reunion that is happening in
heaven now!
