Peggy Sue Wedgeworth Smith, 71, died on Sunday, October 23, 2020 due to complications from stage IV breast cancer.  She was born andraised in Vicksburg and Redwood, MS and had made her home in Nowata, OK.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Clark and Blanche Sutton Wedgeworth of Redwood, MS and a brother, Joe Wedgeworth of Nowata, OK.

Peggy is survived by a daughter, Kelli T. Nelson (David) and granddaughter, Waverly, all of Madison, MS; a sister, Nora Allen (Richard) of Hope, AR; nieces, Colleen Parker (Doug) of Ozark, MO, Collette Wilson (Michael) of Jackson, TN; and nephews, Richard Allen (Janine) of Hope, AR and Hoyt Allen (Tammy) of Camden, AR.

Peggy was a retired bookkeeper/office manager in various MS cities, NV and FL.  She was never long without a dog companion, the latest a rescue shih-tzu named Lucy, who was adopted into a loving family before her death.

Visitation will be held from Noon until 1 p.m. on Friday, October 30 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 1830 Cherry Street.  Graveside services will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
