Retha Barrett (Sims) Tanner, 85, of Vicksburg passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Merit Health River Region.

Graveside service for family, friends, and Trinity Baptist Church members will be at 10am Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Greenlawn Gardens in Vicksburg, under the direction of Fisher-Riles Funeral Home.

She was born in Yazoo County to HD and Ellen Barrett on February 6, 1935 and retired as a bus driver from the Vicksburg Warren School District.

She is preceded in death by husband C.P. Sims, son Phillip Sims, and daughter in law Annette Sims.

She is survived by daughter Pam Cook (William) and son Al Sims all of Vicksburg. Grandsons Billy Cook(Karen) Chris Sims(Amanda), Adam Cook(Karla), Daniel Cook(Deidra) Russell Cook(Stacy) and Cliff Sims. Granddaughters Hailey McConnell(Sean) and Sam Garner(Joshua) and 13 great-grand children which she treasured.

Pallbearers will be Billy Cook, Adam Cook, Daniel Cook, and Russell Cook.

In lieu of flowers Memorials may be given to the Church Planting fund at Trinity Baptist Church
