Ronald Leon Ballard, 92, of Vicksburg, MS passed away on August 6, 2021. He was
predeceased by his beloved wife, Marcia Hilliker Ballard. They were married over 60 years
and had three children, Janice Clay, Pam Milone (Ron), and Gary Ballard (Mary), whom were
loved by their dad. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Burton and Ruth Ballard.
Born February 1, 1929, in Sullivan, Indiana, Ronald spent his formidable years growing
up in Detroit, Michigan. After high school, he entered the Navy until he was honorably
discharged in 1947. Ronald then attended college and received his Doctor of Chiropractor
Degree. Most of his professional career was spent in Mississippi and Louisiana in the electrical
supply field.

Ronald was known for his love of art, genealogy, and family. Living in Vicksburg and
creating a vibrant creative community, he inflicted his love of art on all who knew him for
many years. An avid researcher, Ronald shared many interesting discoveries through
genealogy and created wonderful documented lineage for his family and others.
Ronald will be fondly remembered  by his brother, Maurice Ballard (Amy), his sister, Joyce
Ferguson, his brother-in law, William Hilliker (Linda), as well as his grandchildren, Cory Clay
(Iumi), Julie Signorelli (Kevin), Chris Milone and Lisa Bunch (Jesse) as well as many great
grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial service will be held in Vicksburg.
