Ronald “Ronnie” Lynn McLeod, age 78, of Vicksburg, MS passed away from this life on Monday, September 7, 2026 at his residence. He was born July 8, 1948 to the late Richard Emmett McLeod, Jr. and Alice Isabel Cole McLeod.

There will be a graveside service on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 11 AM at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church at 5930 Warrior’s Trail, Vicksburg, MS.

Ronnie attended Culkin Academy in Vicksburg, MS. After school, he joined the National Guard for six years. He was employed as a carpenter building houses in Vicksburg, where three of his homes were featured in Better Homes and Gardens. Ronnie decided to work in industrial construction and traveled the United States as a crew foreman. He loved collecting guns and his hobbies were rebuilding old trucks and cars.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Betty Kowan McLeod; one daughter, Rhonda Michelle McLeod; one son, Lynn McLeod; grandsons, Logan Bishop (Sandy), Grady Bishop and Michael Clarke (Courtney); three great-grandchildren, James Bishop, Vivian Bishop and Lucky Clarke of Vicksburg and one brother, Richard Emmett McLeod, III (Debbie) of Oakland, MS and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was preceded in death by both his parents; and three brothers, John Russell McLeod, David Dean McLeod and Donald Ray McLeod, all of Vicksburg.
