Roston Jarrell Jr.
In loving memory of Roston Collins Jarrell Jr., age 85, of Bovina, Mississippi. Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, he graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Roston dedicated his career to the Army Corps of Engineers, making significant contributions in its New Orleans and Vicksburg Districts.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roston Collins Jarrell Sr. and Marjorie, a brother, David B. Jarrell, of Scotland, Maryland, and in succession by three wives, Shirley Zimmerman, Sherry Brock, and Doris Ivey.

Roston  is survived by two brothers, Fred W. Jarrell (Liz) of Mobile, Alabama, and Malcolm Jarrell (Susan) of Logansport, Indiana, as well as a daughter, Charlotte Jarrell (Neil Billeaudeaux) of Katy, Texas.

Remembered as a gentle soul, Roston had a deep love for animals and gardening. He was an active member of the local Kiwanis and a devoted member of River of Life Church.  After his wife Doris died, Roston remained a close member of her Vicksburg family whom he loved and who loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to River of Life Church, 4345 Lee Road, Vicksburg, Mississippi 39180. Per his request, Roston's body will be cremated, and no funeral service will be held. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
