Samuel Vincent (Mickey) Sanderford went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. Mickey was born February 8, 1958  in  Vicksburg, Ms to Gerald and Velma Sanderford.

Preceded in death by his parents; Grandparents; Howard and Rosie Ferguson; and a brother, Jerry Sanderford. He is survived by a daughter, Latonya Emmerick and son, Kandy Sanderford (Stacy) ; sisters, Diane Wallace (Earl),  Shelia Tarver and brothers;  Danny Sanderford (Mary) and Greg Sanderford (Deloris) and numerous nieces and nephews.  Also co-workers and friends,  Greg Sanderford and Billy Ray Carroll. Many thanks for tolerating his attitude everyday.

Mickey worked for McGuffie Steel in Vicksburg, Ms for many years. Those that knew and loved Mickey knew that he loved family, friends and never met a stranger. He would pick little flowers and give to  his favorite ladies and he would pick up rocks and feathers to give to friends. Needless to say, we have enough rocks to build a wall but we saved everyone to remember him by. Mickey was his own man and walked to the beat of his own drum. Services will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
