Scottie Lynn Shiers passed away at the age of 46 on September 18, 2024, in Hinds County.  He was born on October 22, 1977. He did a lot of construction work throughout the years. He loved his family. Some of his hobbies included fishing and being outdoors. He is preceded in death by his dad, Bobby Shiers Sr., his brother, Bobby Shiers Jr., grandparents Evelyn and Jimmy Brown, and his papaw, James H. Wade "Bud."

He leaves behind two daughters, Ginger Shiers and Taylor Shiers, a son, Scottie Shiers Jr., and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Burleson (Hugh Hasty), sisters Mary and Van Mashburn, Penny and John Cadena, and Nathan and Maria Barnard.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg, MS.

Pallbearers will be Kristie Massey, Destiny Massey, Rainy Massey, Scottie Shiers, Jr., Bradly Shiers, and Danny Lee Lewis.
