Sherry Hopkins Dennis, passed away on March 1, 2024, at the age of 61. She was born on August 20,1962, in Vicksburg, MS, to Rhada and Theresa Hopkins. Sherry called Delta, Louisiana, her home for the past 10 years and was known for her warm smile, loving nature, and active involvement in the community.

Sherry found joy in her work at Midwest at ERDC and was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church, where she loved singing in the choir. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity.

Sherry is preceded in death by her father, Rhada Hopkins, her brother Brian Hopkins, and her husband Jeff Dennis. She is survived by her mother, Theresa Hopkins; her daughters, Pamela Donaldson (Roger) and Shelia Henderson; her brothers, Ronnie Hopkins, Rodger Hopkins (Kim), Brent Hopkins (Polly), and Jason Hopkins (Jennifer); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Sherry's love knew no bounds, and she was loved dearly by all who knew her. She found fulfillment in volunteering at church and in the community, always ready to lend a helping hand. Sherry cherished her church family and her special bond with Mark Dye.

A celebration of Sherry's life is being held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Fisher Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Ave. Vicksburg, MS with Rev. Jimmy Henry officiating. Visitation will be at 2:00 pm and continue until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Vicksburg, where Sherry found great joy and comfort.
