Shirley Jean Stephens, aged 77 passed away on February 23, 2026. She was a beloved wife, mama, and granny. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born October 17,1948 to Charles E. Gladwell, Sr. and Katherine Lee Straing in Port Gibson, MS. She married Henry E. Stephens,  Sr. in 1965 and made Vicksburg, MS their home for 53 years.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Charles, Jimmy Sr., Robert and Eugene Gladwell and William Cade, sisters Mary Dunlap, Nell Bunch, Dot Melton, Jo Dampier and Betty Hunter, and grandson Christopher S. Moore.

She is survived by daughters Catherine Stephens and Kelsey Stephens, son Henry Stephens Jr, grandchildren Zachary Moore, and Aaron Moore.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 26 at 11 am at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Bro. Larry Macomber officiating.
