Tatyana Zavyalova passed away on Wednesday July 2, 2025, at the age of 54. She was born in Shahtinsk, Kazakhstan on January 11, 1971.  In 2000 she moved to the United States to marry the love of her life, Hugh Cummings. She became an American Citizen in 2005. As a resident of Vicksburg, she was a member of St. George Orthodox Church and a graduate of Jackson State University. Tatyana enjoyed gardening, art and travel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nikolas and Raisa Sokolov.

Survivors include her husband, Hugh Cummings; her son, Daniil Zavayalov; and two brothers.

She will be greatly missed by all of her art, gardening, and travel friends, both in the U.S. and in Europe.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday July 8 at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church.  Visitation will be at the church from 10 AM until the hour of Service.  Interment will follow in Greenlawn Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Gary Thomas, Gregory Thomas, Jeff West, Rick Martin, Kevin Mahoney, Albert Habeeb, Lester Tzotzolas, and Bobby Lutton.  Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Thornton, Rick Hardy, Dobie Nosser, George Jabour, Tasos Ioannides, Ben Shaw, and Rickey Mitchell.
