Thomas James Jr, 85, of Vicksburg, MS, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 8th,2021.

Thomas James Jr was predeceased by John Thomas James (father), Beulah James (mother), his brothers, Sylvester James, Lester James, John James, and William James. He is survived by Martha Anne James (spouse), his daughters, Janice Atkinson, Angela Kelley, and Darlene George, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Thomas James Jr. was born in Smith county April 25, 1936. He spent most of his childhood in Canton, MS. He served in the Air Force and Army serving in the Korean War and continuing his service in the National Guard. After his service in the military, he served as a policeman in Canton, MS where he met his wife.  Thomas James Jr. retired after 30 years of service at Sperry Vickers as machinist supervisor and settled in Vicksburg, MS. He was a faithful member of Woodlawn Baptist Church for many years. He was dearly loved and respected by many.
