She was born in Vicksburg and a graduate of Redwood high school. After graduation, she attended business school. Through her last hours in sickness and pain she reminded all that "God is good"

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her home was always open, filled with warmth, love, and the aroma of home-cooked meals.
