Warren Dale
Gaddis
April 4, 1935 – April 28, 2020
Warren Dale Gaddis, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away in hospice care at home in Vicksburg on April 28, 2020. Born in Taylorsville to Leon and Hortense Gaddis, Dale attended Central Highschool in Jackson, MS. He was a founding member of the Air National Guard in Mississippi and for a time, the youngest Mason in the United States. A longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, Dale had a love for the Lord that he knew deep in his heart. He derived great enjoyment in learning new things and cultivated many hobbies and skills including: painting, woodworking and making jewelry. He had a special fondness for Civil War History which he loved to share. For many years, he owned Gaddis Screen Printing and Signs where he channeled his artistry into graphics, signs, T-shirts and banners that were displayed all across the State. During this time, he enjoyed supporting both of his son's softball leagues with emblazoned T-shirts and baseball caps from his shop. Dale could fix anything and was often dispatched to help family and friends. He was devoted to his wife Frances and their home. In his later years, he enjoyed the constant companionship out of his dogs Teddy and Little Bit. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Donald Gaddis, sister-in-law Bobbie Gaddis, and son Eddie Gaddis. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Frances B. Gaddis, children Bo Gaddis (Kim) of Terry and Lynn Gaddis Strange (Bob) of Terry. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Chris Gaddis Lusteck (Patrick) of Rosemount, MN, Amanda Harris Gutierrez of San Antonio, Texas, Rose Gaddis Thomas (Jeremy) of Louisiana, 8 great-grandchildren and sister Becky Curtis of Pensacola. Due to COVID restrictions, a private graveside service will be held. The family requests donations in lieu of flowers to be made to St. Jude's and Shriners Hospital for Children.
