William B. Aden, Jr., 68, of Vicksburg, MS passed away on August 20, 2022. He was born to parents William B. Aden, Sr. and Lulu McCoy Aden on September 26, 1953 in Vicksburg, MS. He was raised in Valley Park, MS. and later came back to reside in Vicksburg. He attended Fielding L. Wright Attendance Center in Rolling Fork, MS. He later attended Warren Central High School where he graduated with honors. During his high school years, he was a member of the baseball and football teams. Billy graduated from Mississippi State University where he received a degree in business and was an active member of the SAE fraternity. He found his passion farming in the Delta in which he did for 45 plus years.
Billy was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with others. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed watching football, cooking and eating a good steak. He will be remembered for his abundance of generosity, selfless acts of love and his kind soul. Billy was an American Contract Bridge Life Master and enjoyed the game of Dominoes.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Elizabeth Waring Aden.
Billy is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lynda Gastrell Aden; his two daughters, Amanda Wong (Jeff Wong) and Rachael Clark; his sisters, Elise Smith, Katherine Lou Neill (Brien Neill), Allison Ameen (George Ameen); and his five grandchildren, Aden Clark, Kathryn Wong, Allie Wong, Domenick Craig and Dillon Craig.
Visitation will be held this Tuesday, August 23 from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 1 p.m. at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue.
Honorary pallbearers will be Merritt Aden, Albert Dornbusch, Butch Newman, David Wansley, Brien Neill, George Ameen, Eric Smith, Jeff White, Bill McRight, William Moore, Bobby Steinriede, and the board of directors of the Valley Park Elevator.
Memorials may be made to Paws Rescue.
