Obituary

William Edward Booth Jr. died November 13, 2025 at his home due to complications from a fall. Will was born November 15, 1939 in Vicksburg, MS to William and Elizabeth Booth. He attended St. Aloysius through junior high school and then entered the Alabama Trinitarian Seminary in Holy Trinity, Alabama. He stayed in the seminary for a number of years. He later took a different path in life and entered Catholic Universityin Washington, D.C. where he received a degree in Economics.

Will had a long career working for the FBI, both in New York City and in Mississippi. He originally was stationed in Natchez, MS and later moved to Madison, MS. He was an avid golf and tennis player. He also spent many hours gardening, keeping detailed notes of his plants and, over the years, with much patience, turned his garden soil at his home in Annandale from the original red clay to a deep, composted loam. Will loved family get togethers and his hearty laugh was enjoyed by all. He never missed a gathering, even when he had great difficulty ambulating.

Will was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Booth, and his daughter, Laura Ann Booth Angelo. He also was preceded in death by his sisters, Alice Booth and Mary Patricia Fulton and his brothers, Joseph Booth and George Booth.

He is survived by his son, William Edward (Ted) Booth III who was a devoted caregiver to Will for almost a year. He also is survived by one sister, Peggy Booth Rector, and four brothers, Paul Booth, Mike Booth, Bubba Booth and John Booth.
