William M. "Mike" Curtis

Aberdeen – William M. "Mike" Curtis, 59, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Diversicare Nursing Facility in Amory, Mississippi. He was born on November 28, 1963, in Warren County, Vicksburg, MS, to the late Willie Curtis and Virginia Ashley Curtis.

Mike grew up in Vicksburg, Mississippi and graduated from Warren Central High School in 1982. He worked hard for many years as a welder. He was married to Mary Jane Curtis. Mike was Baptist and was blessed by God with two children. He loved spending time with his family and going fishing. One of his signature sayings was always "Hello Darling". He had a heart of gold and was always looking for ways to help others. He was especially close to his sister, Janice, and in the last years of his life they spent a lot of time together.

Mike will be missed dearly and his family is at peace, knowing that he is completely healed.

Left behind to treasure his memories are his children, Samantha Miller, Newport, PA, William M. Curtis, Jr., Mechanicsburg, PA; sister, Janice Strawn (Jim), Caledonia, MS; eight grandchildren; niece, Lyn Taylor (Steven), Caledonia; and nephew, Jim Strawn, IV, Athens, GA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Curtis.

A private family graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in Vicksburg, MS.
