Rusty Wicker a devoted man of God, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on October 2, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on July 13, 1954, in Vicksburg, MS, he was a proud native of the city.

Rusty served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After his service, he returned to Vicksburg, where he spent his life surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Elizabeth; their three children, William "Little Rusty" Wicker, Aaron Wicker (Kelly), and Amy Cashion (Paul); ten grandchildren; and four brothers, Mike (Stephanie), David (Wanda), Jerry (Florence), and James. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Rusty was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy and Louise Wicker, and two brothers, Danny Joe and Terry Wicker.

A devoted family man, Rusty loved nothing more than spending time with his loved ones. He was also passionate about gospel music and cherished his loyal companion, Bully the dog.

A memorial service will be held at Warrenton Baptist Church on  Saturday, October 12th at 11 am to celebrate Rusty's life.
